Hitman 3 PS5 Error Indicates PS Vita Compatibility When DualSense Turns Off

Hitman 3 reviews are going live today, but freelance games journalist Jordan Oloman has experience an interesting issue when playing the game on PS5. Essentially, the DualSense controller turns off and there’s a message that pops up indicating PS Vita compatibility.

The message itself reads: “Please reconnect your wireless controller or your PlayStation Vita system.” However, we should point out, as Oloman does, that PS Vita isn’t actually supported. Just to be clear.

At the time of writing developer IO Interactive has not provided any statement on the above issue, but we imagine they will pipe up at some point.

Hitman 3 is due for release on January 20 for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One. Read our full review to see how Agent 47’s latest adventure shapes up on Sony’s next-generation console. The game is the final entry in the World of Assassination trilogy, but we surely haven’t seen the last of the franchise.
