IO Interactive has lifted the covers off Hitman 3 Year 2, confirming it will launch a new Freelancer mode, which offers a brand new way to experience Agent 47’s epic stealth adventure.
Speaking on the official Hitman website, the Hitman 3 Freelancer mode introduces new elements including roguelike, strategic planning, and a customisable safehouse.
This playable space is an entirely different type of location and we’ve never built anything like it before. It’s customisable and allows you to choose exactly what type of Hitman you are (or want Agent 47 to be!). As you progress through Freelancer, more areas of the Safehouse can be unlocked and new customisation options will become available.
Players can spend as much time as they wish at the safehouse, and allows you to try out a new costumes, test your weapons on the firing range, or just kit the place out with some new furnishings. With all your pre-missing planning taking place at this location, it will become a pretty major addition to say the least.
Elsewhere, Hitman 3 Freelancer mode gives you access to the mission hub, where you can view all currently available Freelancer campaigns,. Each one represents a ‘criminal enterprise that is prominent across the World of Assassination,’ and it’s up to you what camping you pick.
