PlayStation boss Jim Ryan has said that Horizon Forbidden West is still on track for a PS4 and PS5 release in 2021. Production on the game was confirmed to be ramping up earlier this year, with Guerrilla Games winding down support for the PC version of Horizon Zero Dawn.
Speaking during an interview with Famitsu Ryan, who also announced that Sony is working on a new PSVR headset for PS5 earlier today, mentioned that the game will be released in the second half of the year.

This ties in with what a PS5 advert said last year around the time of the console’s launch, which pinned a similar launch window on the game. Sony has officially only said that Horizon Forbidden West will launch in 2021 up until this point, with no specific time frame mentioned until now.
Horizon Forbidden West is currently in development for PS4 and PS5, so we’re looking at a cross-generation release similar to Spider-Man Miles Morales and SackBoy: A Big Adventure. No doubt it’ll look prettier on Sony’s next-generation console, however.
