There’s 17 job positions up for grabs in total, all of which pertain to an “online project” and specifically mention Horizon. For example, the Lead World Designer reads, “Guerrilla is looking for a Lead World Designer to bring the expanding Horizon universe to a multiplayer audience.”

Guerrilla is looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Combat Designer to help create a variety of Machine enemies that are spectacular, challenging and memorable to fight cooperatively.

Guerrilla Games went on step further by posting on social media that the Horizon multiplayer will include “a new cast of characters and a unique stylised look. Friends will be able to explore the majestic wilds of Horizon together.”

The most recent entry in the franchise came with Horizon Forbidden West, which launched in February 2022 for PS4 & PS5. The next chapter, Horizon: Call of the Mountain, is due out on PSVR on February 22, 2023.

Guerrilla Games has reportedly been looking to include multiplayer elements in Horizon since the original game, but decided to keep it out in favour of making a dedicated spinoff. There’s no further details available at this point, but with the studio still hiring, it’ll be a while before it’s sees the light of day.
