Guerrilla Games has announced Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition for PlayStation 4.

The re-release of the critically acclaimed open-world title was previously outed on Play-Asia earlier this week.

As expected, the Complete Edition of the action-RPG features the base game plus the upcoming expansion, the Frozen Wilds. It also adds the content previously available as part of the Digital Deluxe Edition of the game.

This includes extra costumes and weapons for the Carja and Banuk tribes, plus two resource packs. There’s no word if any of the pre-order bonuses will be featured in the Complete Edition.

Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition release date set

The Complete Edition of Horizon will arrive in stores on December 6, 2017. It’ll carry a price tag of $49.99. As such, the re-release of the game will arrive only one month after the launch of the Frozen Wilds on November 7.

Presumably, there will be no further Horizon Zero Dawn DLC following the Frozen Wilds. Traditionally, companies do not re-release their titles under the ‘Complete Edition/Game of the Year’ moniker until all available DLC has been shipped.

Guerrilla Games has been steadily improving its latest IP with a series of updates since launch. The most recent effort, Horizon Zero Dawn update 1.33, was released in mid-September.

Guerrilla has also touched base on a potential Horizon 2, suggesting that a follow-up may not feature Aloy as the main protagonist.

Horizon Zero Dawn launched back in late February and proved a critical and commercial success. The game sold 3.4 million copies worldwide as of June 2017, putting it on track to become the next big PlayStation franchise.

Recently, Ubisoft boss Yves Guillemot accused both Guerrilla Games and Nintendo of copying the open-world mechanics of its flagship titles for use in Horizon and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, respectively.
