Housemarque reveals PS4-exclusive Alienation

Housemarque has unravelled the mystery behind its latest game by announcing ‘Alienation’.

The Finnish-based studio, famed for the likes of Dead Nation and the PS4 launch title Resogun, showcased its new IP with a blistering trailer at Sony’s press conference at this year’s Gamescom.

Bearing a similarity to the top-down shenanigans of Dead Nation, Alienation greets players with the same sort of addictive pick-up-and-play gameplay, with the distinct choice of going it rogue or playing with friends.

From a graphical fidelity perspective, Alienation is above-and-beyond Housemarque’s zombie fest, which found a release on PS4 back in March.

The Finnish developer also took to its offical blog to share some tantalizing details of the shooter:

– A devastating array of conventional, hybrid and Alien weaponry that will allow you to eliminate the Alien swarms in massively destructible environments.

– Different player classes, key skills upgrades and customization for weapons to create the hero character that suits the way you play.

– 4-players co-op and the possibility to invade other players as mercenary bounty hunters.

– Loot and clues collectibles to learn the truth behind the Alien invasion.

– Stats tracking and comparisons against other players.
