The new PS4 Pro update arrives today enabling users to play 4K video via USB or a home server.
The media player patch also improves the quality significantly of PSVR video and will now display resolutions of 1920xRGBx1080.
This means that PSVR porn videos are going to look way better than before, and although you still can’t watch PlayStation VR porn videos through the PS4 browser, we did find a workaround.
We’ve already shown you the steps on how to watch PlayStation VR porn, so if you’ve got a PS4 Pro it’s now simply a matter of finding the high-quality content that you need, whacking it on a USB stick and using the LittlStar VR Cinema app to view it through. Via this application, you can now watch adult movies with PlayStation VR in 180 or 360 degrees.
Speaking with Daniel Peterson, CEO of VRPorn, we asked him about how the latest PS4 Pro update will affect the quality of VR porn movies via Sony’s headset.
“The Media Player still has no 3D, so it is a bit misleading for them to be touting that this can now play 4K VR videos. For 3D VR videos, you still need the Littlstar app,” he told PlayStation Universe.
“That being said … This does significantly improve the quality of 360 mono porn videos. Previously, the quality on these was not hardware limited by the PSVR headset, but by the pipeline. Sony has fixed that by now allowing for 4K, and thus for more pixels to fill the screen around you. This should also increase the quality of 180 videos, though the difference won’t be as noticeable.”
Daniel also thinks that it also won’t be long before Sony introduces 3D update to its Media Player.
“It shouldn’t be much longer before Sony adds 3D to the VR Media Player, then the PSVR will be a first-rate virtual reality porn machine. And with way more units out there than the competitors.”
The PS4 Pro update for Media Player is due to launch today.
