Right at this very moment, there are very few options online available to preorder a PlayStation 4 and guarantee you’ll get it delivered on release day. However, there are a couple of alternative plans to make sure you don’t miss out on the biggest day for PlayStation gamers since PS3 launch.
Option 1: Get your ass down to Walmart on Saturday. That’s this Saturday, 24 August, 2013. They want a 10 percent payment toward the PS4 and guarantee that you’ll pay it off before the release date. Do that and you’ll waltz into a Walmart store and pick up your PS4 on launch day (just watch you don’t get held up by gun point on the way home.)
Option 2: Camp out or queue outside stores. Check with your local retailer prior to release to make sure they will be stocking some PS4s on release date. Then find out if they’re planning a special launch. Best Buy, for example, will be opening stores across the U.S. at midnight on November 15. If you’re near the front of the queue, you’ll bag yourself a new console.

Option 3: Get saving and expect to pay way over the odds for a PS4 console that turns up on eBay and other auction sites. You can pretty much guarantee that there’s a fair few people out there who have ordered multiple consoles in order to sell them on at an inflated price when demand will be high. The swines!
