Warner’s confirmed that bloody fantasy-based hack-em-up The Lord of the Rings: War in the North will feature a music score penned by celebrated composer, Inon Zur.
The award-winning music maestro recently recorded the game’s score at London’s legendary Abbey Road Studios accompanied by a 70+ piece orchestra and the Pinewood Singers choir.
Zur is no stranger to the world of videogames, having composed music for over 40 titles including Dragon Age: Origins, for which he received the prestigious Hollywood Music in Media Award. In addition to videogames, his talents also extend to numerous other mediums including TV, film and trailers.
Based on the works of acclaimed writer J.R.R. Tolkien, War in the North has players stepping into the evocative landscape of Middle Earth as they take part in brutal battles against the fearsome armies of the Dark Lord Sauron and his fellow minions.
The Lord of the Rings: War in the North is scheduled for release on PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360 later this year.
