Insomniac Games’ Drew Murray has refused to rule out returning to the Resistance franchise, despite the fact he enjoyed working on something fresh after five years of Chimera-blasting antics.
Speaking during a Twitch live stream for Kinda Funny Games at GDC 2015 this week, Murray touched on a number of subjects, including the forthcoming Ratchet & Clank project for PlayStation 4 and a sequel to Sunset Overdrive.
However, he also admitted that he may have some further interest in making Resistance 4, despite the fact Insomniac retired the franchise after completing Resistance 3 back in 2012.
Moving on to Ratchet & Clank, Murray described the game as “amazing to see on the PS4,” saying he was rather taken in seeing Metropolis with bustling city streets and traffic running in high-definition.
He also revealed that the game will have the storyline of the 2002 original, but Insomniac will be incorporating various elements from other games in a sort of ‘Greatest Hits’ package, such as weapons and other in-game goodies.
Ratchet & Clank is due out in 2015 for PS4.
