Sony’s PlayStation Portable has gained the upper hand on Nintendo in the weekly Japanese hardware battle, according to the latest data from Media Create.
The PSP sold a total of 57, 651 units for the week ended March 16, outpacing both the Nintendo Wii and DS, which sold 55,845 and 53,266 units each, respectively.
Meanwhile, the PlayStation 3 saw a decline in sales, dropping 6,000 units from the previous week, though it was still enough to surpass the PlayStation 2, which dropped below the 10,000 mark.
Lastly, Microsoft’s Xbox 360 also experienced a dip in sales, selling only 1,744 units during the same period.
