Adobe, a Japanese community hub for indie game creators, has picked up a new sponsor in the shape of Sony Interactive Entertainment.
Essentially, Asobu provides creators with a place to share ideas and work on projects, and is based in Shibuya, Tokyo. With news that Sony has been scaling back its Japanese development studio and is apparently shunning independent games in favour of blockbusters, this news probably comes as a bit of a surprise.
There’s not really any details on what Sony’s sponsorship of the outfit entails, but presumably it will involve funding and the chance to have creators’ works published on the PlayStation label.

According to a Bloomberg report, one of Sony’s next major projects is going to be a remake of The Last of Us at Naughty Dog.
