Jim Ryan Reveals Sony Has 17 Studios Working On First-Party Games

State of Play

Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO & President, Jim Ryan, has revealed during a presentation at CES 2022 that the format holder has a whopping 17 studios working on first-party software.

The PlayStation Studios brand has a number of major developers under its umbrella, including the likes of Naughty Dog, Insomniac Games, Santa Monica Studio, Sucker Punch Productions, and many more. It’s understandable that Sony will want to have them cranking out plenty of first-party exclusives, and this year alone has a number of major titles including Gran Turismo 7 and God of War Ragnarok.

Sony has been quite prolific gobbling up a number of studios to bring under the PlayStation Studios banner in the past 18 months, including Firesprite and Bluepoint Games.
