Hazelights Studios News PS5 Split Fiction Split Fiction Goes Gold

Josef Fares Confirms Split Fiction Has Already Gone Gold Ahead Of March 6 Release

Split Fiction, the next game from Hazelight Studios, has gone gold ahead of its release in early March 2025, creator Josef Fares has announced on social media.

“And also #splitfiction has now gone gold. So get ready on March 6,” Fares wrote on X. Split Fiction is the next project after It Takes Two, and will once again focus on cooperative play like its predecessor. The game was announced during December 2024’s The Game Awards, so the fact it’s out in March means fans won’t have long to wait, which is a nice bonus.

Split Fiction features two writers, Mio and Zoe, who specialised in science fiction and fantasy, respectively, as they are hooked up to a machine and end up trapped in their own creative endeavours. As such, the pair must work together to escape with their memories in-tact, relying on unique abilities to help them overcome various challenges while navigating worlds inspired by their works.

The fantasy and sci-fi inspired worlds ensure that players never know what to expect, as you may find yourself facing off with cyber ninjas and evading hover cars, to escaping trolls and taming dragons. Teamwork is paramount to your adventure, as you must coordinate your actions and timing to overcome the challenges that Split Fiction throws your way.

Split Fiction is set to launch on March 6 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
