Kena: Scars of Kosmora has been delayed into 2027, Sony Interactive Entertainment and Ember Lab have announced. The game was originally due arrive before the end of the year.
Speaking on the PlayStation Blog, Josh Grier, Chief Operating Officer at Ember Lab, commented:
At the same time, we want to deliver a top-notch game that exceeds the quality we achieved with our 2021 debut, Bridge of Spirits, and at a much bigger scale. To do that we need just a bit more time. Pushing our release into 2027 gives us the ability to really polish the expanded game experience we want to deliver. In the meantime, we wanted to share more about the world you’ll get to explore soon!
Following on from Kena: Bridge of Spirits, this latest adventure sees the titular heroine as an accomplished Spirit Guide, and travels to the mysterious island of Kosmora in search of a cure for her affliction. Her journey brings her into contact with Spirit Companions, whose power can be harnessed to solve puzzles and defeat enemies using new elemental skills. The island of Kosmora is brimming with secrets, wandering spirits, and epic boss battles, all complemented by a rich story and fast-paced combat.
Kena: Scars of Kosmora is now due out on PS5 and PC in 2027.
