Grasshopper Manufacture’s Killer is Dead has secured itself a western release for summer 2013.
The blood-thirsty actioner, created by Goichi Suda (aka Suda51), is to be published in North America by XSEED and in Europe by Deep Silver.
Killer is Dead is a spiritual successor of sorts to Killer7 and No More Heroes, and sees players hopping into the role of assassin Mondo Zappa. Armed with a deadly Japanese sword and interchangeable weapons thanks to his artificial arm, Zappa embarks on a quest to dispatch dodgy criminal types around the globe.
Confirmation on the game’s western release follows yesterday’s news that Grasshopper had been snapped up by Japanese online giant GungHo.
Killer is Dead will be released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
