Kojima and PS4 architect go in search of ‘newest technology’

The stars are beginning to align as the Lead System Architect of the PlayStation 4 and one of the greatest names in the gaming medium collaborate.

Lead Architect Mark Cerny today created his Twitter account, and to commemorate the occassion, he posted news that he will be spending time with none other than Hideo Kojima. Kojima recently jumped ship from Konami and is in league with Sony for his next new title. It’s been only seven hours since Cerny’s first tweet, and he already has another teasing what these two masterminds are up to:

Their first stop is to explore the technology used to capture both Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us and Ready At Dawn’s 1886: The Order. This journey holds a lot of prowess in regards to Kojima’s new IP. Kojima mentions alongside Cerny’s tweet that he is taking this trip to search for "the newest technology" available to him.

Kojima then continues on to include a picture of himself in a rigging for 3D facial recognition.

There’s a great deal of speculation to be had here, considering that Kojima could be seeking existing options for creating what will be his first PlayStation-exclusive title since Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. So, until more grounding information releases, the journey is bound to be well documented, considering their social media presence in the first few hours of their trip. The future is bright for the PlayStation brand with two such names working in tandem with one another.
