Kojima Production has issued a statement in wake of its announcement of a Cloud game with Microsoft that the company still maintains a strong partnership with PlayStation.
After the announcement of our partnership with Microsoft using the cloud technology, many people have asked us about our collaboration with SIE. Please be assured that we continue to have a very good partnership with PlayStation as well.
While Hideo Kojima is busy working on a project with Microsoft, there’s been plenty of rumors suggesting something else is in the pipeline from the Metal Gear creator.
Last week, we heard that a new horror game from Kojima-san is in the works, known as Overdose. However, there has been speculation as to whether or not this may have some form of timed-exclusivity with Xbox.

Then of course there’s chatter about Death Stranding 2, which actor Norman Reedus seemingly confirmed is happening. He had previously said that the sequel to the 2019 action-adventure game was ‘in negotiations.’
