Kojima Productions turns five-years-old today, but the studio has said that players should not expect any new game announcements to take place as it celebrates the milestone. This comes following news yesterday that the company would be offering some ‘exciting updates’ for fans.
Things have already kicked into gear, with an anniversary wallpaper and new merchandise being revealed. However, fans naturally asked if something a little more substantial would be shown off, to which the studio replied:
There are no game announcements today. The updates that we have planned today are purely to celebrate our anniversary and to thank you all for the support that you have given us these past 5 years.

Kojima Productions was formed out of the ashes of Kojima-san leaving Konami back in 2015, following completion of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. The company shipped its firsts game, Death Stranding, in November 2019 for the PS4.
