The band who have composed the soundtrack for Hello Games’ procedurally-generated space exploration title No Man’s Sky have released the official soundtrack for the game on YouTube ahead of a wider release on streaming services tomorrow. You can have a listen below.
No Man’s Sky: Music for an Infinite Universe is a 10 track, 48 minute album by UK band 65daysofstatic. It features compositions that do appear in the game, but they are only used as some of the building blocks for the game’s actual score, which will take the band’s music and use procedural generation to effectively make almost endless variants of it.
There will be a second album from the band for the game coming soon as well.
No Man’s Sky is out next week, after several years of setbacks, hype, controversy and some downright silly nonsense. It will be a blessed relief when the game is finally here (for everyone) to play and hopefully enjoy. The soundtrack sounds like it will be fantastic at the very least.
