LucasArts boss keen to make "immersive, high-quality" Star Wars titles

LucasArts overlord Paul Meegan has expressed his desire to cobble together “authentic, immersive, high-quality Star Wars games.”

Meegan, who was appointed company president just last year, feels the studio hasn’t always delivered the goods recently and as such is eager to shake things up and get the developer back on track.

"Lucasfilm has some of the most beloved and powerful brands in entertainment, we have a loyal community of fans, and talented people in every discipline,” he told MCV. “We’re surrounded by staggeringly bright and creative people at the top of their games."

"In recent years, LucasArts hasn’t always done a good job of making games. We should be making games that define our medium, that are competitive with the best of our industry, but we’re not. That has to change."

E3 will play host to two eagerly-anticipated Star Wars titles this year, though ironically enough, neither one is being developed by LucasArts.
