Developer Hanger 13 has revealed during a chat with USGamer that the lush-looking Mafia Definitive Edition – which is a ground-up remake of the first Mafia game – will include a number of features introduced in Mafia 3.
New Mafia Definitive Edition Details Revealed
Combat is one of the main areas that will be influenced by Mafia 3, which now utilises a cover-based style as opposed to the run-and-gun approach employed by the original Mafia 2 on PS2. However, there are some differences; Tommy Angelo doesn’t have the same skills as ex-soldier Lincoln Clay, for example, so that has been take into consideration by the team.
In addition to the above, Mafia Definitive will also include two settings for driving: a realistic option and a more relaxed alternative that is easier to pick up. Elsewhere, players can also tweak how law enforcements react to your actions, such as making the more lenient to speeding and other crimes.
Mafia Definitive Edition is slated for release on PS4, PC and Xbox One on August 28.
