Players currently involved in the alpha phase for Gothic horror RPG, Bloodborne, have managed to reach areas not intended to be featured at this stage.
A glitch has allowed players to discover new places, weapons and equipment. In addition, a boss fight, that has also not been seen previously, was unearthed.
As a result of the glitch, From Software has delayed the next run of alpha testing, which was due to begin this past Sunday. You can see what was uncovered in the video below, but be warned, there are potential spoilers.
Bloodborne is the new PlayStation 4 exclusive game from Demon’s Souls and Dark Souls helmer Hidetaka Miyazaki, though this tale of a contagion that turns people into blood-thirsty creatures is not a sequel to either game.
However, Bloodborne does take the Souls games action-RPG and hardcore difficulty elements, blending them with a 19th Century Gothic setting and an interesting switch in combat mechanics, one that rewards the player for going on the attack, rather than taking the more methodical approach seen in the Soul’s games.
Sony has Bloodborne pencilled in for a release on February 6 in the US and Europe, the day after it launches in Japan.
