Marvel’s Avengers may not have had the best launch, but after a series of patches it at least seems to have found its audience, and that audience may in fact grow once more when the Black Panther: War For Wakanda expansion releases on August 17, 2021.
This expansion is arguably one of the most anticipated ones that Marvel’s Avengers could have in its lifetime, and each one is an opportunity for publisher Square Enix to further lick their wounds from a launch that cost them millions.
Not that they have a problem generating income from other IPs, but were it not for Cyberpunk 2077, then Marvel’s Avengers would have been 2020’s worst launch.
The update will be free for all players across platforms, which is considerable since the expansion is going to add another 25 hours of campaign content according to Crystal Dynamics, focused solely on T’Challa, and his fight against Klaw to protect his country and his people.
Ahead of the launch there will be a War Table live stream event dedicated to detailing the expansion on August 16, 2021 at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BT, which you’ll be able to watch via their official Twitch channel.
