The upcoming Crystal Dynamics-developed Marvel’s Avengers will be supported post-launch by ‘powerful add-on content,’ according to Yosuke Matsuda, president of Square Enix.
Marvel’s Avengers Publisher Teases Add-On Content
Matsuda-san made the comments during a recent financial results briefing, where he was asked what the publisher’s expectations are for the upcoming superhero title.
Our expectations are very high. Since it will be a title with GaaS (Game as a Service) features, our operations after the game goes live will also be key, not just initial sales on launch. We hope to build excitement around the title by rolling out powerful add-on content.
Marvel’s Avengers is due for release on September 4 for PS4, PC and Xbox One and will also be released for PS5 and Xbox Series X. Check out the latest trailer for the game here, which looks at the villainous organisation, A.I.M.
