IGN has gone live with a new video revealing just how fast the loads times are in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, using an example of the game’s fast travel system and switching character.
Fast travel is available via the in-game map once you have unlocked a specific travel point, and you can swing over there in as little as 1.33 seconds. Not only that, but switching between Peter Parker and Miles Morales is an equally speedy affair, making it clear that PS5’s SSD is being put to great use. You can see it in action here.
Furthermore, Insomniac Games’ Mike Fitzgerald dispelled the nation that having to hold down the triangle button for a few seconds to fast travel actually masks a loading screen. This was actually done for usability, not to hide any loading times.
