Sony announced during its latest financial results overnight that Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales, the web-slinging PS5 and PS4 follow-up to 2018’s Marvel’s Spider-Man, sold through 4.1 million units worldwide in 2020.
Overall, Sony shifted 103.7 million software units in 2020 for PS5 and PS4, with first-party titles coming from PlayStation Studios accounting for 18.4 million of those sales. No doubt developer Insomniac Games will be chuffed with this result, too.
Spider-Man Miles Morales was released for the PS5 and PS4 in November 2020, and was a launch title for Sony’s new home console. It also managed to top the first PS5 download chart in the US, so its success was obvious from the start. You can read our review of the PS5 version of the game here.

Those of you who picked up the Ultimate Edition of the game were treated to a full remastered version of Marvel’s Spider-Man, which is rather good, too.
