Marvel’s WandaVision Writer Joins Amazon’s Tomb Raider TV Series

According to a report on Variety, Amazon’s Tomb Raider TV series has added Megan McDonnell, a writer who previously worked on a number of Marvel projects including WandaVision and The Marvels.

McDonnell revealed that inspiration for her characters mostly come from personal experiences, as described in her own words when discussing her portfolio:

Most of my stories start with whatever funk or crisis or feeling I’m living in, then I figure out how to explore that through speculative fiction. I love to do something unusual with form. I aim to surprise… And I try to write things that I want to watch.

As previously reported, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, the creator and writer of Crashing and Fleabag, will be penning the script for the Amazon Tomb Raider show, although as far as we know she isn’t going to star in the series.

Amazon isn’t the only company working on adapting Lara Croft’s archaeologist exploits to the small screen. Netflix is producing an anime that will feature Hayley Atwell as the famed explorer.
