BioWare‘s upcoming Mass Effect Legendary Edition completely overhauls the much-loved sci-fi epic trilogy for PS4, PC and Xbox One, but far do the visual improvements go in comparison to the original versions of the games? Well, thanks to a new comparison video, we now have a good idea – and the results are solid.
YouTube user Cycu1 has put up a handy comparison video offering a glimpse at just how Mass Effect Legendary Edition helps to polish up Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, and Mass Effect 3. Check it out below.
So there you have it. Looks pretty impressive, right? The original games were certainly lookers back in their day, so it’s nice to see that they’ve been given a solid overhaul for modern platforms.
Mass Effect Legendary Edition is scheduled for release on PS4, PC and Xbox One on May 14. While there will be some enhancements for playing the game on PS5 and Xbox Series X, there won’t be a dedicated version of the game launching for those platforms.

BioWare recently said that it will be using the Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut as the default, canon ending for Mass Effect Legendary Edition.
