Mercenary Kings has been confirmed for release on PlayStation 4 this winter.
Developed by Montreal studio Tribute Games, Mercenary Kings is an old-fashioned, run-and-gun platformer in the spirit of Metal Slug.
Players will travel to Mandragora Island to destroy C.L.A.W. (Cyber Loyalists Active Weapon) clan. Along their travels players will collect materials to use in the game’s robust crafting system, allowing gamers to mix and match over 300 gun parts.
Players can enhance their weapon’s magazine capacity or forge elemental weapons that freeze. Players will also be allowed to customize their characters making them invulnerable to toxic weapons. Some of the weapons that can be created feature a toilet-shaped rifle a cat-cannon and a fish-shaped knife.
Along with the single player campaign, gamers will be able to take the on Mandragora Island in co-op multiplayer, and while no details are provided, the developer did say that the PS4 and PS Via connectivity will further enhanced multiplayer mayhem. Mercenary Kings features more the 100 missions and endless weapon-crafting.
Mercenary Kings is scheduled to launch this winter on the PS4.
