Minecraft PS Vita Edition patch 1.01 missing game crash fix

4J Studios has released the first update for Minecraft: PlayStation Vita Edition, and one major fix is absent in this early update.

4J posted on its official Twitter this afternoon once patch 1.01 went live:

Included in this update was a list of hotfixes featured on the Minecraft Forum, including the following:

– Fixed a hang when accepting a game invite while in a game.
– Fixed ‘Can Build and Mine’ option in Host Options Menu not functioning properly in a Creative Mode game.
– Fixed a crash when attempting to download a save transfer when the memory card was full.
– Fixed issues with attempting to buy DLC when in Ad Hoc network mode.
– Fixed a hang when selecting “Exit and Save” with a trial texture pack.
– Added Turkish manual.

While all fixes are welcome, the major problem detailed in our official review of Minecraft: PS Vita Edition is still on the back burner. Error code C2-12828-1, which is a general code for a game that’s crashed, is the result of loading up a game save after having previously closing the application. This means that, even though the game plays well after the first loading of the game, players will have to keep the Minecraft application opened, and by proxy the PS VIta powered on, in order to keep playing the same save without having to wait for an update.
