Beethoven & Dinosaur has announced that its teenage-focussed adventure romp Mixtape will launch for PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S on May 7, 2026.
Billed as a‘greatest hits of teenage friendship,’ Mixtape follows three friends on their last night of high school as they embark on one more adventure together. While journeying to their final party, the trio are drawn into a dreamlike re-enactment of their formative memories, with players experiencing narrative vignettes that recall key moments from their lives. This mixtape, if you like, features the care-free days of the group including skateboarding, hitting up an abandoned theme park to snap photos, baseball, putting on a fireworks show from the back seat of a car.
Developer Beethoven & Dinosaur have plucked inspiration from classic coming-of-age movies, combining the highs and lows of adolescence with ample amounts of mischief, music, nostalgia, and transformation. Speaking of music, the soundtrack features the likes of Roxy Music, Lush, The Smashing Pumpkins, Iggy Pop, and Joy Division among others.
Mixtape launches May 7 for PS5, PC, Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S.
