More Sonic Remakes & Reboots Are Being Considered By SEGA In Addition To New Titles

SEGA is mulling over the idea of developing more Sonic the Hedgehog remakes and reboots in addition to new titles, its president and COO has revealed during a chat with Famitsu.

Yukio Sugino noted that while not all of SEGA’s IPs are ripe for the picking when it comes to remakes and/or reboots, the Sonic franchise is something that may benefit from such endeavours.

Of course, we have to do new things, but not all IPs are the same for new releases and reboots. For each IP, we will choose which method is appropriate at this time. Sonic is Sega’s flagship IP, and we are considering reboots and remakes for it in parallel with new titles.
