Mortal Kombat reboot actor Joe Taslim, who portrays the frosty Sub-Zero in the film, has revealed he’s signed on for four new movies. However, their release depends on the success of the latest film, which is out today on HBO and in cinemas.
Speaking with Variety, Taslim made it clear that he doesn’t know if there will be a sequel at the moment, but it sounds like Warner Bros. is hoping to develop a bunch of films based on the legendary video game franchise. Considering Mortal Kombat (1995) got a sequel, we’re hoping this will be the case with the latest film.
We don’t know if we’re gonna have a sequel — fingers crossed that we have a sequel. If this one’s successful, maybe we do more.
