Adi Shankar’s Devil May Cry animated series will premiere on Netflix on April 3, 2025.
This latest adaptation of Devil May Cry — there was previously an animated series that release in 2007 — features Johnny Yong Bosch as Dante, who makes a living slaying demons. The character was previously played by English voice actor Reuben Langdon. The Devil May Cry Netflix series is being produced by Adi Shankar, Hideaki Itsuno, and Seung Wook Lee.

Capcom launched Devil May Cry for the PS2 back in 2001 and it spawned numerous sequels, although we haven’t seen a new instalment since 2019’s excellent Devil May Cry 5. It wasn’t always smooth sailing though; Devil May Cry 2 was poorly received, and the series was rebooted by Ninja Theory back in 2013 with DmC: Devil May Cry, which sadly didn’t get a follow-up despite being a fantastic game in its own right.
