NetherRealm Studios, the developer behind this year’s excellent Mortal Kombat reboot, has announced it’s taking a break from the bloody beat-‘em-up franchise.
Speaking to GameSpot, Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon said that the studio will instead work on “a different project," though did admit NetherRealm will eventually return to Mortal Kombat at some point down the line.
Elsewhere, Boon also revealed the studio isn’t planning any further downloadable content for Mortal Kombat.
