IGN has published a new video walkthrough of Destiny 2’s new hub, called the Farm.

This is the first look at the main social area, which will replace The Tower. At first glance, it looks similar in size to The Tower and there’s also some familiar people dotted around the location, including the postmaster and cryptarch.

5 things you should know about Destiny 2

The Farm looks much more detailed than Destiny’s hub and looks like it’s set in the depths of forest. There’s plenty of greenery, NPCs hanging around, spaceships landing and even some farm life in the form of chickens!

There’s even a huge football and a football pitch where Guardians can waste their time having a kickabout.

Get set for the Destiny 2 beta, where it’s highly likely you’ll get your first look at your new home. You can get on the beta phrase by pre-ordering the game, and the action kicks off on July 18 until the 21.

Bungie’s shooter sequel is due for release on September 6, though you’ll be able to preload it in advance to save time waiting for a hefty launch day download.

This week, we also learned a bit more the next game in the popular series, with Bungie confirming that it will utilise set perk rolls for its armor and weapons.

Meanwhile, aside from bug fixes, Bungie has confirmed they’ll be no more content for Destiny following The Dark Below, House of Wolves and The Taken King expansions. Though the physical appearance of your character will carry over to Destiny 2, progression made in the original game will be completely wiped.

We’re expecting more details on the new features of the sequel in the coming months, including details on sub-classes, new weapons and exclusive content for PS4 players.
