Bandai Namco Entertainment announced back in May 2022 that Elden Ring had shipped 13.4 million units worldwide. Creator Hidetaka Miyazaki is already working on his next project, with FromSoftware now working on multiple titles.
While it’s still unknown if any of these projects could be a sequel to Elden Ring, its creator labelled the game as a ‘franchise‘ back in March, at which point the game had shipped 12 million copies.
