Square Enix has confirmed that it will roll out a new Final Fantasy 15 update today, with the highlight being yet another addition to Ignis’ cuisine skills in the shape of a recipe for ‘stinky tofu with mellow flavor.’

This latest recipe was added to the action-RPG following a survey that Square Enix conducted in Taiwan, where a number of fans were keen to see the tofu included in the game. Elsewhere, the update also irons out a bug that sometimes caused Final Fantasy 15 to close when accessing the Timed Quest rankings screen.

  • As per the results of a survey in Taiwan, “Stinky Tofu with a Mellow Flavor” has been added to Ignis’ cuisine.
  • The winning photograph in the 2nd Snapshot Contest is displayed at the restaurant in Hammerhead.
  • A survey regarding future updates has been added to the title screen. (This survey will end in late June.)
  • Fixed a bug that would forcibly close the game when on the Timed Quest rankings screen.
  • Fixed various bugs.

Final Fantasy was released on PS4 and Xbox One in November 2016, and quickly cemented itself as the fastest-selling game in the venerable JRPG franchise. The title went on to ship over six million copies worldwide, and recouped its development costs based on first day sales alone. That’s an impressive feat considering the game’s troubled development cycle, which began over a decade ago as the PS3-exclusive Final Fantasy Versus 13 before shifting to current-gen machines.
