New Kingdom Hearts 3 info will be coming at E3 2016

Speaking during an interview with The Koalition, Kingdom Hearts Unchained X Producer Hironori Okayama revealed that we’ll be getting more info on the hotly anticipated Kingdom Hearts III at E3 next month.

No further details were given at this point, although considering it’s been awhile since we heard anything on the Disney-RPG sequel, it’s good to know we won’t have to wait long to get some more info on the game.

Kingdom Hearts III is currently in development for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game was announced at Sony’s E3 2013 press conference after years of rumors alongside Final Fantasy XV.

While a release date has yet to be confirmed, Square Enix will tide gamers over with the upcoming Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8: Final Chapter Prologue for PS4. The pack includes a high-definition remake of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, plus new content in the shape of Kingdom Hearts X Back Cover and Kingdom Hearts 0.2: Birth by Sleep – A Fragmentary Passage.

Kingdom Hearts III will serve as the conclusion to the Dark Seeker saga, with the game picking up immediately after Dream Drop Distance. Sora returns to the fold once again, alongside King Mickey, Goofy, Donald Duck, plus a host of other Disney guest stars.

The game is unlikely to be the last in the series, although nothing regarding future titles has been confirmed as of yet.
