You may have heard about the upcoming PlayStation Eye game, Kung-Fu Live, which utilizes a Freemotion technology to put gamers right into the action. The folks over at the PlayStation Blog have posted some additional information and a video about the game, which is slated for release this year.
The developers are claiming that the Freemotion technology is essentially already doing what Microsoft intends to do with Natal. Kung-Fu Live uses full-body skeleton tracking to essentially track player’s moves in real-time. This is all through the use of the PlayStation Eye.
The game also scans you directly inside the game world, making you completely immersed in the experience. While in game, you have super human abilities, like jump flips without making you actually flip in real life. You can also do the Matrix trick.
Do you think Kung-Fu Live is on to something here?
