D3Publisher is set to launch Earth Defense Force 2017 Portable for the PlayStation Vita this winter, and, though it’s a remake of a Japanese title, add a scade of new content.
The core game for Earth Defense Force will remain relatively the same to the 2007 Japanese release EDF3, but D3Publisher is adding new missions, new weapons, new enemies, and Pale Wing, who is a new playable character.
The main premise of the game will be fending off an alien race hell-bent on the destruction of Earth, and it’s your job to stop it. You can even do this with up to four friends via online co-op, and utilizing the strengths of multiple characters will be of the utmost importance.
An official release date isn’t set, but Earth Defense Force 2017 Portable is slated for release this winter. Check out our screenshots of it here and let us know what you think of this upcoming PS Vita title.
