Sony debuted a brand new Shadow of the Colossus PS4 trailer during its pre-Tokyo Game Show press conference earlier today.
The new footage offers plenty of insight into the upcoming remake, including a look at the game’s enhanced visuals and towering bosses, which have been completely revamped in stunning high-definition for Sony’s latest home console.

Developed by Team ICO, Shadow of the Colossus was originally released for the PlayStation 2 back in 2005, and is widely regarded as one of the major examples of videogames as art due to its emotionally-driven narrative and minimalistic visual style.
Shadow of the Colossus won many plaudits upon release, and is considered one of the best games of all time despite not selling a particularly large number of copies worldwide.
The remake is being handled by Bluepoint Games and Sony, and will include fully remade assets and visuals, plus a new control scheme. While the project will retain the same gameplay of the original version, it is unlikely any new content, such as the Colossi that were cut from the PS2 game, will be implemented.
Shadow of the Colossus was previously remastered in high-definition for the PS3 as part of the ICO & Shadow of the Colossus Collection back in 2012.
