Bandai Namco News Steel Gunner Time Crisis Trademark

New Time Crisis, Steel Gunner Trademarks Filed By Bandai Namco

Bandai Namco Entertainment has filed new trademarks for Time Crisis and Steel Gunner, which cover products such as “arcade video gam machines” and “recorded computer game software.”

There’s no confirmation yet from the publisher if these pertain to any plans to revive both franchises, but it’s still a step in the right direction. In addition to the above, the trademark also mentions services “providing online video games” and “a computer game that may be accessed network-wide by network users via computers.”

Time Crisis has a long history with PlayStation consoles, with the first game being ported to the PSOne back in 1997 and utilised the Guncon peripheral. The last entry was released back in 2015 in the shape of Time Crisis 5 for arcades, and was also Bandai Namco’s last light gun game to date.

Steel Gunner goes back even further than Time Crisis, having debuted in arcades back in 1990, with a sequel soon following.
