Ludosity and GameMill Entertainment have announced Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2, the sequel to the 2021 platform fighter that received mixed reviews, for lacking the depth necessary for a fighter.
Now the sequel not only comes with a new, bigger roster of characters for players to get nostalgic over, but it’ll also launch with a “rougelike” single-player campaign, where you’ll work to stop Danny Phantom villain Vlad Plasmius from his evil-doings.
It’ll feature a fully voiced cast, so you’ll really be sent back in time by hearing the original character’s voice each match and throughout the campaign.
The announcement trailer didn’t really show us plenty of new brawlers, but we did get to see Squidward Tentacles and Jimmy Neutron in action.
We also got a look at the updated graphics, and new arenas for players to duke it out in.
The trailer also mentions “new gameplay,” though any revisions to how the game plays and feels, beyond the addition of new minigames, which are included, won’t be tangible until players get their hands on it.
It’s definitely an action packed trailer to say the least, and one that shows off a lot of gameplay.
There’s no specific release date yet, but for now all we know is that it will release this fall.
