Team NINJA’s upcoming Nioh 3 looks set to be a console exclusive to the PS5 for about six months, according to a snippet feature on a recent trailer for the game.
Traditionally the franchise has only ever released for PlayStation consoles in addition to the PC, but there’s a chance that this may change with Nioh 3. A new trailer on the PlayStation YouTube channel, spotted by TheGamer, includes the following in small print: “Also available on PC. Not available on other consoles until at least 6 months after February 6, 2026.”
As reported last week, the Nioh 3 demo is now available for PS5 users to download, with save data transferring over to the full version of the game. Furthermore, if you complete it by February 15, you will receive a free gift in the form of the Twin-Snake Helmet.
Nioh 3 sees players jumping into the role of Tokugawa Takechiyo, who is the grandchild of Tokugawa Ieyasu, and similar to the game’s predecessor you will be able to full customise your character’s appearance as the blurb above states. Beyond the main single-player campaign, Nioh 3 also features two online multiplayer modes in the form of Summon Visitor and Expedition; the former allows you to bring in another player to help out with bosses, while the latter has you exploring open fields together.
