The latest issue of Dengeki magazine has dropped a few new tidbits on Nippon Ichi’s mysterious PlayStation Vita project.
For one thing we’ve now got a name, with the title known as Tokushu Houdoubu, aka Special Report Division to you and me.
Furthermore, the game supposedly falls into the adventure category, though apparently won’t be caught in the trappings of a traditional text-based adventure title. It’ll also feature characters designed by Hiro Kiyohara.
Tokushu Houdoubu is based on television reporting, with Nippon Ichi having got permission from Nagoya television studio to ensure the project is as authentic as possible. Dengeki adds that the title will take place from the perspective of a camera viewfinder, though it remains unknown if this will be for just a portion of the game or the full thing.
Tokushu Houdoubu is scheduled to ship in Japan on August 23, and will cost 6,090 yen for the retail version and 5,000 yen for the downloadable copy.
Stay tuned.
