With such a huge game world ripe for exploration, Hello Games’ No Man’s Sky is perfect fodder for virtual reality gaming; and it could become a reality.
Speaking with Edge Magazine, No Man’s Sky creative director Sean Murphy said that it’s something the studio have been thinking about, though he was quite cagey about going into too much detail, or revealing something he shouldn’t.
"I don’t know what I’m allowed to say," he said. "It’s something we’re thinking about. Morpheus, Oculus… There’s nothing more cool and sci-fi than VR and a big procedural universe. I think that, for the people who want to just explore, and even for the space combat and things like that, it would be a good fit. Let’s put it that way."
That final sentence seems to be hiding something more than he’s telling. Could Hello Games already be in the process of making its virtual reality dream a reality? It’s certainly not out of the question. Can you imagine?
