Ubisoft has revealed that it will no longer be using Las Vegas as the primary location in its Rainbow Six series for future instalments.
Speaking with Eurogamer, Rainbow Six Designer Philippe Therien commented, "We will never go back to Vegas – at least, not in the foreseeable future.”
"We really feel that the story of Vegas is done. We’ve explored as much of Vegas as we wanted. For now, we’re pretty much covered with Vegas."
Additionally, Therien remained uncertain as to whether or not future titles would focus on one setting, adding, "The concept of being around one location was really good for Vegas, it really works.”
"Whether we’ll do that again, I don’t know right now,” he said.
Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is scheduled for release on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC platforms in March 2008.
