It seems that Europe isn’t the only region where maintenance will take place today, as the PlayStation Network is scheduled for maintenance in Canada and the U.S. As well.
According to the PlayStation Blog, the service will be affected from 8am until about 7pm Pacific time (that’s 11:00am ’till 10:00pm Eastern time). During this period only registration and Account Management will be inaccessible as well as the password reset process.
So users will still be able to log into PSN and play online, however, the PS Blog points out that “while some users may experience difficulty signing into PSN and the PlayStation Store, the majority of users will be able to play online as well as sign in to external sites that require PSN authentication.”
